Book your free tickets, here, for an artist talk led by Richard Dedomenici, Artist, Filmmaker, Raconteur and Manufacturer of Dangerous Toys, as part of Liberty UK Festival, Leicester 2021.
In 2017 Richard DeDomenici launched an installation called Shed Your Fears.
The exhibit took the form of a wooden shed comprising of two cubicles where people could sit and anonymously, safely and privately share their fears, hopes and dreams with a complete stranger.
During its exhibition around the UK, hundreds of people shared their innermost thoughts, without shame or recrimination, which led to some unexpectedly powerful results.
Now, in the wake of recent upheavals, Richard invites you to join him for an online illustrated talk about the origins and outcomes of Shed Your Fears, and how you could share your own anonymous contributions in two brand new socially distanced pandemic-safe variants of the project; one online, and one physical. There will be an opportunity for some light audience participation during the talk.
This artist talk precedes an installation that Richard will be creating for the Liberty UK Festival using the archive of Shed Your Fears to transform a toilet space in Leicester City Centre in July.
