In 2017 artist Richard DeDomenici launched an installation called Shed Your Fears. The exhibit took the form of a wooden shed comprising two cubicles where people could sit and anonymously, safely and privately share their fears, hopes and dreams with a complete stranger.

During its exhibition around the UK, at venues including Tate Modern, The British Museum, YouTube Space London and Bournemouth University, hundreds of people shared their innermost thoughts, without shame or recrimination, leading to some unexpectedly powerful results.

For the Liberty UK Festival Richard presents a pandemic-safe variant of the project, displaying anonymised and condensed extracts from the Shed Your Fears archive upon the walls of public toilet cubicles at LCB Depot in Leicester, to which visitors are invited to contribute, thus creating a virtuous circle of fear-shedding.
